Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for a number of experienced and safety-focused Lift Supervisors to join our team covering Sizewell. This is a key operational role responsible for directing and supervising lifting operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
As a Crane Supervisor, you will provide clear leadership on site, oversee lift teams, and ensure lifting operations are completed in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and BS7121 requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise lifting operations in accordance with approved method statements.
- Interpret risk assessments, lift plans, and associated drawings.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to lifting teams.
- Monitor lifting activities and intervene when necessary to maintain safety and operational standards.
- Stop lifting operations if conditions change or safety is compromised, escalating to the Appointed Person as required.
- Ensure compliance with BS7121 Parts 1 and 3 and all relevant legislation.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional duties as reasonably required.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor (Blue Card).
- CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience as a Crane Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, lift planning, and site safety requirements.
- Sound knowledge of BS7121 Parts 1 and 3.
- Full UK driving licence
