As Dual Depot Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering that success across Cambridge and Great Yarmouth, leading teams, developing customer relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

The Role

As Dual Depot Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the Cambridge and Great Yarmouth depots, balancing commercial performance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and, above all, safety.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the performance and development of both depots, ensuring they achieve their operational, sales and profit targets
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across both regions
• Identifying new business opportunities and supporting sustainable depot growth
• Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service across both locations
• Maintaining full compliance with quality, health and safety procedures
• Overseeing fleet, vehicle maintenance, inspections and certification
• Ensuring company policies, procedures and operational standards are consistently implemented
• Leading, developing and supporting depot teams across both locations
• Managing recruitment, training, performance reviews and appraisals
• Providing strong leadership and dealing confidently and effectively with HR matters
• Monitoring depot performance and taking action where improvements are required
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, performance and profitability
• Working collaboratively with other departments and the wider depot network
• Ensuring both depots deliver against their operational and commercial objectives

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a confident and capable leader with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of managing teams within a fast-paced operational or business environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Proven management experience within a commercial, operational or service-led environment
• Experience managing multiple teams, locations or areas of responsibility would be advantageous
• A strong understanding of business performance, commercial targets and customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to influence, negotiate and manage challenging situations confidently
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities
• Good IT skills and confidence using business systems
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple locations
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English are desirable
