The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

 

As a Mobile Tower Crane Operator, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality lifting operations across a variety of sites nationwide.

 

Your focus will always be clear: safety first, every time.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Operating cranes in line with manufacturer instructions and company standards
  • Ensuring full compliance with road traffic regulations
  • Setting up safely, including correct use of outriggers on level ground
  • Checking and operating rated capacity limiters and indicators
  • Carrying out safe manual handling practices (e.g. outrigger pans)
  • Liaising with Site and Project Managers on arrival
  • Assessing site conditions, including wind and environmental factors
  • Stopping operations where safety is at risk—no compromises
  • Safely accessing and exiting equipment
  • Maintaining knowledge of crane documentation, duty charts, and procedures
  • Continuously developing your skills across different crane models

 

About You

 

You’re a skilled operator who takes safety seriously and professionalism personally.

 

You’ll bring:

 

  • A full UK driving licence
  • HGV Class C licence
  • In-date Blue CPCS card with Mobile Tower Crane authorisation
  • Proven experience operating mobile tower cranes
  • Strong understanding of road traffic regulations
  • Knowledge of how weather conditions impact lifting operations
